Of course everything I say is arguable. But as a writer, and teacher of writing, I see an awful lot of similar kinds of challenges cross my desk. It’s actually wonderful as this contact with students and their writing continually pushes me to re-examine what I think about technique: what is successful? What isn’t? Why?
